Easter is the most important time of the year for Christians. It is the season where we remember the events his last week in Jerusalem where he ministered, was betrayed, arrested and accused, where he was tried and condemned and where he was killed. But that was not the end of the story. Indeed Jesus death is his coronation, as he says in John 12, “if I am lifted up from the Earth I will draw all people to myself.”(John 12.32) There is an empty tomb, death has been conquered, we have the free offer of forgiveness and a share in the new life that Jesus offers us.
